About St Helens Park

St Helens Park, situated 56 kilometers southwest of the Sydney central business district in New South Wales, Australia, is a suburb within the City of Campbelltown and is part of the Macarthur region. The suburb derives its name from a Gothic mansion built in 1887 by George Charles Westgarth, known as St Helen`s Park. The area`s history includes a farmhouse called Denfield and Curtilage, constructed in the 1830s, which holds heritage significance. Initially designated as a fly spray testing laboratory in the 1940s, the property, locally known as Blowfly Farm, was later restored and designated for suburban development by Campbelltown Council in 1975. St Helens Park saw gradual development from the 1970s, with notable heritage-listed sites like Denfield and St Helen`s Park. The suburb features two primary schools, Woodland Road Public and St Helens Park Public, along with new housing developments since 2006.
