Seven Hills is a suburb situated in Greater Western Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, approximately 33 kilometers northwest of Sydney's central business district. It falls under the jurisdiction of both the City of Parramatta and Blacktown City councils. Prior to European settlement, the area was inhabited by indigenous peoples, particularly the Warmuli and Toogagal clans of the Darug nation. The first land grant in this area was awarded to John Redmond in 1793, and the region became known as Seven Hills around 1800 due to its location near the seventh hill on the road from Parramatta. The development of the railway station in 1860 and changes in the 1950s led to alterations in Seven Hills' boundaries, creating suburbs like Lalor Park and Kings Langley. Over time, the suburb played a role in soldier settlement schemes, with the land being used for poultry breeding and agriculture.
