Narwee is a suburb of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. The suburb can be found in the St George area, approximately 18 kilometres south of the Sydney Central Business District. It belongs to the local government areas of both Georges River Council and City of Canterbury-Bankstown. The name of the suburb was derived from an Aboriginal word, Narwee, which means “sun” as the area used to be known as ‘Sunning Hill Farm’. It was officially adopted by the place when the railway station, with the same name, was established and opened on 21 December 1931. In terms of the commercial area of the place, small shops can be found on the Broad Arrow Road which is next to the Narwee railway station. According to the 2016 Australian census, the population of the suburb includes 5,618 residents.
