This provides the community with a lovely seaside backdrop and breathtaking water views. The majority of Lilli Pilli is a residential area, which is distinguished by a variety of house styles. The neighborhood contains a variety of homes, including detached houses, some of which have views of the lake, and a few low-rise apartment complexes. The name of the suburb came from the Lilly pilly, which is the native myrtle that grew in the area. During the early colonial period, most of the land in Lilli Pilli was owned by a man named Thomas Holt; his land stretches from Sutherland to Cronulla including land on the point.
