Henley is a suburb of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. It is situated on the lower north shore of the city, approximately 9 kilometres from Sydney`s Central Business District. The suburb belongs to the Municipality of Hunter’s Hill local government area where it was surrounded by different suburbs including Huntleys Cove, Huntleys Point, Gladesville, Abbotsford, Chiswick, and Drummoyne. Historically, the area where Henley lies today is believed to have been a previous home to the Wallumettagal people of the Eora nation before the European settlement. According to the 2016 Australian census, the population of Henley consists of 469 residents where the majority of them were born in Australia. In terms of the transportation needed to go into Henley, there are bus services that connect the suburb with Sydney`s CBD, West Ryde, and Parramatta. Locals can also go to the Parramatta River ferry services through the Huntleys Point ferry wharf close to the suburb.
