About Gregory Hills

Gregory Hills, situated in the Camden Council area of New South Wales, Australia, is a suburban enclave that was officially designated on August 1, 2008. Its nomenclature is derived from the local topography and the original St Gregory`s Chapel situated on Marist Brothers land. Located in the Macarthur region of New South Wales, Gregory Hills, as of my last knowledge update in September 2021, has been evolving as a burgeoning residential community in the southwest of Sydney. It represents a relatively recent development contributing to the expansion of the broader Macarthur region. In the 2016 census, Gregory Hills had a population of 4,985 residents, with a diverse demographic profile including a small Indigenous population, predominantly Australian-born residents, and a variety of languages spoken at home, highlighting its multicultural fabric. The prevailing religious affiliations in the area were primarily Catholic, followed by a notable proportion identifying as having no religious affiliation.
