Located in the inner west part of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, the suburb Camperdown lies in both local government areas of the City of Sydney and the Inner West Council. The suburb is the home of the prestigious University of Sydney, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and the historic Camperdown Cemetery. Royal Alexandra Hospital was also once located here before being relocated next to Westmead Hospital. Camperdown is a heavily populated suburb, with 9,381 people living in the area according to the 2021 census. The suburb features large areas possessing Victorian terraced homes, and various single-storey terraces. Several semi-detached houses became popular along with the rise of Australia’s Federation in the 20th Century.
