About Buxton
Buxton is a small village situated in the Macarthur Region of New South Wales, Australia. It is located on the Wollondilly Shire, a peri urban local government area. The name of the village is derived from a town in Derbyshire, England with the same name which is Buxton. In terms of education, the village has different schools that the residents can take a look in including the Buxton Public School, Picton High School, and Wollondilly Anglican College which can be all reached by bus. There are also schools at the Southern Highlands part like Bowral High School and Chevalier College. On the West Parade, the Buxton School of Arts Hall can be found which holds Playgroups, an Art Group and consists also of a Community Garden. A railway station in Buxton was established in 1883 while a station platform was added later in 1893.
