About Bringelly
A suburb in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, Bringelly is located on the Northern Road between Penrith and Camden. The name of the suburb was given in the 19th century to a district in Sydney and later on to a parish of the County of Cumberland. Suburbs such as Greendale, Wallacia, and Badgerys Creek are also included in the Parish of Bringelly. Robert Lowe, the man believed to be the first British settler in the area was awarded 1,000 acres of land in the parish of Bringelly in the year 1812. The suburb is located next to Badgerys Creek, the site of the planned Western Sydney Airport. The NSW Government also currently has a plan to build a new commercial center in Bringelly’s North, it will be the city’s third commercial center behind Sydney and Parramatta. The planned commercial center would be an honor to the late Dr. John Bradfield, the Sydney Harbour Bridge engineer. Hence his name will be used for the name of the commercial center after being chosen by the committee.
