About Bell
Located in the Blue Mountains, a region of New South Wales, Australia, Bell is a small rural and residential village and the north-westernmost village in the City of Blue Mountains. The name Bell came from a man named Archibald Bell, Jr., the first colonial person to map the route in the Blue Mountains through Richmond. Although the crossing was partly explored by George Caley in the year 1804, it was Bell that go all the way from Richmond to the Bell area. Darug men Emery and Cogy who are indigenous guides accompanied Bell in his exploration. The Bells Line of Road was later established in the area.
