Voyager Point, a small suburb in South Western Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, is situated 25 kilometers south of Sydney's central business district within the City of Liverpool. In the 2016 census, the population of Voyager Point was recorded at 1668 people. The suburb's name originates from the commemorative park established after the tragic loss of HMAS Voyager in 1964. Formerly known as the East Hills Naval Estate, this area housed married quarters for Royal Australian Navy families and served as a refuge for those who fled concentration and refugee camps in Australia in 1954. The suburb features heritage-listed sites like Creekwood Reserve and Lucas Watermills Archaeological Sites. Voyager Point boasts native flora, fauna, and bushland walkways, with a footbridge connecting it to East Hills across the Georges River. The original streets, named after ships of the Second Fleet, reflect the suburb's relatively new development by Delfin Lend Lease on land formerly part of Holsworthy Barracks, with subsequent developments released by Defence Housing Australia in the North West Corner in the early 2010s.
